Affinity Lab member NucleationSites has just helped launch a new website for the Institute for Global Leadership at Tufts University. This project was managed and designed by lab alumnus BlueCadet Interactive, and is a great example of how individuals and member organizations continue to interact and collaborate, even after they graduate to their own dedicated offices.

The mission of the Institute for Global Leadership at Tufts University is to prepare new generations of critical thinkers for effective and ethical leadership, ready to act as global citizens in addressing the world’s most pressing problems.

The department itself acts as an inter-disciplinary incubator, and due to its unique approaches and ability to create partnerships and juxtapositions, IGL is at the forefront of efforts that encourage “thinking beyond boundaries and acting across borders.”

The new Institute for Global Leadership website was implemented in Drupal, an open source content management system. During the planning and implementation of this site, NucleationSites received much advice and support from the Washington, DC Drupalers, a group which meets on a monthly basis in Affinity Lab to encourage socialization and collaboration between Drupal developers throughout the DC metro area.
